Why LexAtlas Exists
AI is transforming legal research. But most AI tools treat lawyer queries like any other data: logged, stored, and potentially exposed.
For lawyers, that's not just a privacy inconvenience. It's a professional ethics violation. Attorney-client privilege requires that research related to client matters stays confidential.
LexAtlas was built from scratch to solve this. We don't store queries. We don't log content. We process everything ephemerally and discard it immediately. There is nothing to subpoena because nothing exists.
Our Privacy Principles

Zero Query Retention
Your queries are processed in memory and discarded immediately. We never write query content to any persistent storage: not databases, not logs, not backups.
Ephemeral Processing
Queries exist only for the duration of the API call. Once your response is generated and delivered, the input is gone. There is no retrieval mechanism because there is nothing to retrieve.
Metadata-Only Logging
We log only operational metadata: timestamp, response latency, and error category. This lets us monitor system health without ever seeing what you asked or what you received.
Attorney-Client Privilege Protected
Because we never store your queries, there is no risk of inadvertent disclosure. Your research related to client matters stays as confidential as if you never used AI at all.
Transparent by Default
